Meeting 5 Oct 1871 James Kerr sent to the Union Poorhouse in Thornton.
Meeting 12 Oct 1871 James Kerr in Poorhouse Kirkcaldy, confined there with fever.
Meeting 9th Jul 1874 Inspector reported that the above named pauper left the Poorhouse at his own request on the 27th June 1874.
Meeting 25 Feb 1875 James Kerr re-admitted to the Poorhouse.
Meeting 29 Apr 1875 James Kerr left Poorhouse at his own request.
Meeting 30 Jul 1875 Meeting informed the Governor of Dysart C. Poorhouse refuses to admit the Pauper "on any condition". Case left with the Inspector.
Meeting 25 Aug 1875 Medical Officer of Ceres claimed Kerr to be of unsound mind, but instead of having him committed to an asylum, Inspector of Poor Ceres has him brought to Wemyss where he is examined and certified as a fit subject for the Poorhouse. Acting on medical certificates previously issued, had to transfer Kerr from the Poorhouse to Fife & Kinross District Asylum.
