[Letter to Dr. Laing]

Books, Manuscripts
Letter addressed to Dr. Laing and dated 1890, the letter is signed John Russell. In it he refers to the publication The Great Maple by Charles Howie. He comments that 'Mr Innes put in too many paragraphs', likely refering to Mr Innes of the printers in Cupar. He states that he has annotated a copy with corrections, and the copy in our collections has pencil corrections added to many of the pages. The letter asks for Dr. Laing's opinion on the work. Later in the letter he mentions that Mrs Tullis is staying with them, again perhaps refering to the Tullis family of Cupar.
