Contents of this volume come from an address given to the Gaelic Society of Perth on 18th October 1928. The published address discusses the origins of the Clan Donnachaidh,the relationship of the first clan chief to Robert the Bruce and the battle of Bannockburn and the change of the clan name from Donnachaidh to Robertson and the introduction of the use of the surname in Scotland in the 15th century. The address then goes on to discuss the history of the clan chiefs and various other notables from the clan up to 1749.
