This booklet is written by Carnock-born John Allan, who lived as an architect in Stirling. He gives a brief history of Cambuskenneth, the Ladies' Neuck (Ladysneuk), the Seal of Cambuskenneth, the monastery and so forth. From page 26 there is an Ode to the Tower, comprising 9 pages of verse by John Allan. Of interest is the pull-out drawing of Cambuskenneth (22 cm x 36 cm). The whole pamphlet relates to Stirlingshire, aside from a reference to Inchcolm.
