Carnegie Hero Trust Foundation was created by Andrew Carnegie and established April 15th 1904 as he believed that if a hero is injured while attempting to save another person, he or his family should not suffer pecuniarily. The award involved a medal of either, gold silver or bronze and a corresponding monetary award. This booklet contains a frontispiece of the actual size of the Carnegie Medal, list of members, deed of trust, minute on the death of Andrew Carnegie, full account of the acts of heroism which have been recognised January 31st 1953 to January 31st 1954, complete list of awards for acts of heroism from 1904 and the sum of medals and money so far awarded.
