This item is the programme for the Preliminary Drama Festival of the Dunfermline District Committee of the Scottish Community Drama Association (SCDA), held in Dunfermline in January 1950. There were three plays, performed by Randolph Players B Team, Kelty Co-operative Society Drama Section A Team, and Auchterderran Drama Club A Team. The Randolph Players performed 'Doom to the Seeker' by Melville Hunter (believed to be the pseudonym of Dunfermline-born writer Ian Hunter). The competitive element of the festival is explained; clubs and societies in the Dunfermline area affiliated to the SCDA are listed, as are cast members of the plays, and office bearers of central and Dunfermline SCDA. Joining fee for the SCDA is given. Producers of the Melville Hunter play are Grace and Ian Hunter.
