A pocket book, on the life and works of the distinguished Scottish Painter, Sir David Wilkie, R.A. Born in Cults Church manse, son of the Parish Minister, he is known for his figurative work. In 1823, he was appointed Royal Limner for Scotland. (Member of the Royal Household) He continued as Court painter until 1841. Memorials can be found in the Parish Church in Cults.
