The Savoy is a small district in the centre of Greater London that separated Westminister from the centre of London until Westminister was extended in Temple Bar. It was largely independent in local affairs being governed by a Court Leet and a Burgers Court. It embraces half the Stand. This is a history for the last 700 years and the history the great hospital or Alm House founded by Henry VII, one of the sights of London, of which only a chapel now remain, well known as the Savoy Chapel. It is the Chapel of the Royal Victorian Order.
