Eikon Basilike is an autobiography of King Charles I, published in 1649 ten days after he was beheaded by parliament. Many questions have been asked over the years about the authorship of the Eikon and whether the King was responsible. The author has answered this disputed question of "Who wrote Eikon Basilike?." In two letters presenting evidence and argument that the King did indeed write this volume and not John Gauden as claimed by Gauden himself.
