Some noble families had become established within reach of Kinghorn- Ross, Moray, Crawford, Lindsay and Wemyss, and within the parish were the Kirkaldys of Grange, the Moultrays of Seafield and the Boswells of Balmuto. This booklet tries briefly to present some of these people so that the present generation of townsfolk may be aware of the past generations
