Taken from text - During the past two years a good deal has been done to bring the sweet little town of Markinch as an inland resort under the notice of jaded toilers in our large cities. In the spring of 1907 a thought struck me that I might help the Local Committee, who have been trying to show that Markinch has many attractions, by the publication of a book dealing with the historical associations and the climatic conditions of the Parish
