Written to celebrate the centenary of St Maries Parish Church, the book charts the history of catholicism to Fife and in particular from 1865, the establishment and growth of a mission station in Kirkcaldy. St Maries Parish Church played an important and unique role in the growth of the catholic church in Fife. It was long felt that a catholic school was required and St Marie's was opened on 30th August, 1910, followed by a secondary school dedicated to St Andrews which opened on 14th December 1959. The book also details Lay Societies in the parish of St Maries as well as a list of Parish Priests and Assistant Priests who have served in Kirkcaldy.
