The East Neuk of Fife : its history and antiquities, geology, botany, and natural history in general

Wood, Walter1862
Books, Manuscripts
Rev Walter Wood wrote this book while minister of Elie Free Church in the 1860s. The author admits disarmingly in his preface that 'There is not much in this work that is original; what is new, is chiefly what is so old that it has been forgotten'. Usefully, Rev Wood has added approximate year dates at the head of each page, which along with the index assists the reader in finding historical information in the book.
