St Andrews is one of the most beautiful and historic places in Scotland but it is also one of the most haunted. One of its many mysteries is the haunted tower - a square tower beyond the lighthouse turret in Hepburn's great abbey wall. Deep mystery and romance surrounds its history and this book contains remininscences of local people recounting tales of hair raising stories of awesome sounds and sights which had been encountered by many at the Tower including the tale of The Tower Lady - a white robed girl who walks along the top of the old abbey wall. Other stories include discoveries of buried chests, coffins and skulls found within the tower vaults.
