This book gives the history of Dunfermline's four secession churches, Queen Anne Street, St. Margaret's United Presbyterian, Chalmers Street and Gillespie Memorial from 1737 to 1899. Among biographical sketches of the ministers is a more detailed account of how Rev. Thomas Gillespie was driven from the Church. Included are illustrations of church buildings and some of the ministers.
