Of particular local interest in this issue is the article 'The story of Inverkeithing Salt Works' by George Robertson, p8-13. This article gives a brief history of Salt pans in Fife and then more specifically the history of the Salt works in Inverkeithing, it includes some of the remnants we see today such as street names that evidence the existence on the salt pans all those years ago.
