The feeling for nature in Scottish poetry : in two volumes. Vol. I

Veitch, John Professor1887
Books, Manuscripts
Professor Veitch looks at the work of Scottish poets from Thomas the Rhymour [Rhymer] to King James VI, to assess how they write about nature. Chapter VII is on medieval Dunfermline poet Robert Henryson, and the writer describes him as 'the first Scottish poet who has given us the familiar landscape of his own country, revealed... the richness and the beauty of the nature at our own doors'.
