Kirkcaldy Musical Society, founded 1866, found that production of their Oratorios were becoming increasingly costly each year. To continue expensive productions and to be able to employ high class artistes, made it necessary to raise funds to meet this considerable expense. To this end, a bazaar was organised which was held 19th-21st Otober, 1893, from 12 noon to 10 pm in the Corn Exchange, Kirkcaldy.
