Early in 1962 the author was invited by Kirkcaldy Naturalists Society to lead its members in a botanical excursion over Dumbarnie Links, situated between Lower Largo and Shell Bay.As the area is scheduled as a site of special scientific importance by the Nature Conservancy, information was sought from that body and therefore a list of plants was compiled.
