Pittencrieff Park and Glen were included by Mr Andrew Carnegie in the Deed establishing the Carnegie Dunfermline Trust in 1903. He considered them of vital importance in giving 'especially the young - some charm, some happiness, some elevating conditions of life which residence elsewhere would have denied'. This booklet has been designed to assist young people and any others who desire to use it to widen their powers of observation. It was hoped that it would be used by teachers, youth organisations and the general public, and that it would be found of benefit and interest.
