This photographic survey was started out of the personal interest of the author and a desire to fully record all the stones and their inscriptions before they were finally worn away or damaged. The survey contains a record of all extant stones in the graveyard, whether inscribed or not, although stones without inscriptions have not been photographed. A map identifies the location of the stones. Erskine Beveridge carried out a survey in 1896 and it identifies some stones which are now not legible or are missing. The text identifies these inscriptions. The survey was carried out mainly during the summers of 1987 and 1988.
