Wedderburn and others v Duke of Atholl and others : appellant's appendix of sketches

1898
Books, Manuscripts
In the House of Lords: from the first division of the court of session in Scotland. This volume is an appendix to the case of the appellant's - Wedderburn and others and the respondents' case - the Duke of Atholl and others. The case revolves around salmon fishing rights on the Tay and the Tay estuary. This item is a little gem if you have an interest in fishing processes of the past or local history. These lovely colour sketches show step by step how the technique of salmon fishing by 'Toot and Haul' nets works. One of the appendices is a plan of the River Tay between Perth and the Tay Bridge. It shows all the various fishing stations and their names such as Jockshole, Reekit Lady and Wonder.
