A special magazine produced to promote an imminent visit by evangelist, Rev. William Baird from Cambuslang to Gillespie U.P. Church in November 1896, as part of a mission covering 21listed locations throughout Scotland. Services for adults and children are mentioned. These were aimed at believers and non-believers alike. Several pages are devoted to encouraging members of the community to offer help, attend the services and accept that all are sinners who can be shown forgiveness. The first page includes a black and white photograph of Rev. Baird. Several adverts for Glasgow publishers and other traders appear on the covers.
