Taken from text - the details connected with Lochleven and its fishing, contained in the following volume were collected and strung together primarily in the interests of the brethren of the 'gentle craft' and they therefore treat of the lake purely from the angler's point of view. They touch neither upon those historical associations nor those natural associations which the lake possesses.
