This historical outline of the Newburgh Baptist Church was originally read by the Rev. T. A. McQuiston at the centennary celebrations in 1908. It has been recorded here to preserve the history of the church. The latter part was contributed by the Rev. R. F. Conway, the pastor at the church at the time of writing. The history begins with the foundation of the church in 1808 and gives details of the various pastors that have held office at the church upto 1947.
