The author has pulled together information from newspapers, photographs and family members of those who were in the pipe band to produce this short history of the Hill of Beath Pipe Band. Although the exact date of the formation of the band is unknown the records sugest it was established in 1914 and may have folded in 1931/32 when a new band was formed, this time not under the control of the village committee. The book is illustrated with photographs of the band and its members and were known the names of the members are given.
