Biography of Sir Michael Scott, a scientist, translator and philosopher, who was said to have been one of the great intellects of the 13th century. Local legends say he was born and raised in Balwearie Castle and that he was a wizard of great prowess. Many scholars say this is a myth along with the belief that Melrose Abbey is his final resting place where a statue is said to mark his tomb.
