Books, Manuscripts
Series of extracts from the minutes of the Kirk session of the Parish of Cupar, regarding a case brought to the Synod of Fife by the Elders of the Parish. The extracts concern a disagreement betweemn members of teh congregation and the Minister, Rev. William Leckie McFarlan. The Minister introduced some innovations to the form of worship, such as standing in praise and kneeling in prayer and the Scottish Hymnal. A portion of the congregation objected to these new practises and brought their case to the Synod of Fife.
