The poetical works of Sir David Lyndsay

Lindsay, David, Sir, fl. 1490-15551871
Books, Manuscripts
Sir David Lyndsay of the Mount was, according to Dr. Laing, born either at the Mount in the parish of Monimail in Fife, or in Garmylton, East Lothian. He was 'reckoned by general consent the most popular of the early Scottish poets'; Laing adds that he cannot be claimed to be a great poet but praises his conception and delineation of character. This is the second of two volumes and contains more of Lyndsay's works as well as notes and a glossary.
