Hand written volume of poems. The majority of the poems are by Alexander Paterson, many are signed 'Hermit O' Ravenscraig'. The topics range from politics, such as Scottish independence, to the very personal, a poem on the death of his son. More than half of the volume is in the form of 'Rhyming Correspondence', letters written in rhyme, mainly between A. Paterson, W. Henderson and J. Kinley, but there are other letters to a variety of people also in rhyme. It is a fascinating collection of Scots poetry by local poets.
