The Scottish Worker was published by the Scottish Trades union Congress to give the working class in Scotland, and the public generally, reliable news of the strike. This comprises of six issues of the Scottish Worker covering Monday 10th May 1926 to Saturday 15th May 1926. Issue one includes a small section on the Dunfermline and District with strike action in Cowdenbeath. Issue two includes news of strikes by the shipbuilders and engineers in locations across Scotland including Burntisland, Caldwell's papermill in Inverkeithing joins the strike and another up date from Dunfermline this time refering to railway strikes. Issue three includes an up date from Cowdenbeath, Leven, Kirkcaldy, the Fife Mining Districts and Ladybank, with news of a strike committee being set up in Cupar for the surrounding area. Issue five includes information on the Fife Coal company and an up date from Dunfermline. Issue six includes information about the Fife coal company and Lochgelly Iron and Coal along with a short article on Children's Welfare centres in Fife. All six issues give details of strike news from across the country and beyond as well as details from the various industries on strike.
