Article entitled 'Primmer's assembly victory' including speeches by church leaders. Subtitle reads :' A blow to the presbytery and a tribute to Mr Primmer'. The front cover of the article shows a full page cartoon of the Rev. Jacob Primmer as the Dugald cratur. The article was printed in the Dundee Evening Post on May 27th 1902. The article relates to an appeal made by Rev. Primmer to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland regarding Barnhill Chapel in Dundee. Primmer was a controvertialist and denounced fellow Ministers for using ritual and vestments, he took these cases to court, this article relates the events surrounding one such case.
