Rental book transcripts, preceded by sixty page preface, and pp1-117: 'Historical Notices of the Abbots of Cupar'. The author Charles Rogers was the son of James Rogers the Minister of Dunino. Charles was born at the manse in 1825 and went on to attend St. Andrews University. He gained a license from the presbytery of St. Andrews in 1846 and was employed as an assistant at Western Anstruther, Kinglassie, Abbotshall, Dunfermline, Ballingry, and Carnoustie. He went on to open a preaching station at the Bridge of Allan, and from 1855 until 1863 was chaplain of the garrison at Stirling Castle.
