The Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 (as amended by the Planning etc (Scotland) Act 2006) and the Town and Country Planning (Development Planning) (Scotland) Regulations 2008, require planning authorities to prepare a Development Plan Scheme each year. This is the fifth edition of the Fife Development Plan Scheme and includes: current information on supplementary planning guidance (table 1), a timetable for preparing current and future Local Development Plans (LPDs) in Fife and a participation statement, which will describe the opportunities for public consultation and Fife Council's proposals for public involvement in the preparation of the plans.
