Three photocopied sheets giving details of features on the Kirklands Estate near Saline. These include four stone figures, Tam O' Shanter with Souter Johnnie and two others of a grotestque appearance, all believed to be the work of a one of a family of stone masons who built cottages in Saline. A further feature of the estate is a stone well dating, perhaps, from a time when there was a monastery in the grounds. A very brief description of Saline and a short note on its connection with Sir Walter Scott follows.
