Our unnamed travellers have written this account of their tour of Fife, Forfar, Perth and Stirling. The journey begins at Leith and our author describes their journey across the Firth of Forth landing at Kinghorn. From here they travel to Kirkcaldy, Cupar, St. Andrews and then to the Ferry to Dundee. The descriptions include the authors impressions of the towns as well as the people and local industry. We gain an insight not only into the places the travellers visit but also into the mind set of the 19th century traveller.
