This is the first issue of the Fife and Kinross Area Council of the British Legion Scotland magazine. The magazine begins with a message from the President of The British Legion (Scot.), Sir Thomas Riddell-Webster and the Chairman Sir James Syme Drew. Containing articles on a variety of general topics, advertisements for local businesses and news from the local branches of the British Legion. Includes an article about a golf tournament for branches of the British Legion set up by the St. Andrews Branch and with a silver trophy in a poppy design. The is a sports corner with a photograph of the St. Andrews Legion Rifle Club and sports results for legion competitions in bowling, curling, golf and indoor sports. The centre spread features photographs of a Royal visit to Fife on 28th June 1948, the photographs show the Royal family visiting Kirkcaldy, Cowdenbeath and Dunfermline. Includes a list of the British Legion branches in Fife and Kinross and their secretaries.
