It was here that he met and then married Elizabeth Blair. Elizabeth was born at Balcarres Farm near Kilconquhar. The couple began a family and eventually moved to Allanhill farm at The Grange near St. Andrews where Robert worked as a coachman. The author gives details of the life growing up on a farm and stories about the local area, school, family and neighbours.
