Three articles, reprinted from a local newspaper. Starting with Bothwell Bridge, Battle of, 1679. [22nd June] Second article covers a Marker with the sign of the Master Architect, 1667, on a Sanquhar tombstone. The last article informs of the Test Act, passed by the Scottish Parliament, 31st August, 1681, in which office holders of Church and State alike; swore an oath of fealty to the King and the true Protestant religion.
