This book is a catalogue of the paintings exhibited at the seventeenth annual exhibition held at Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh in 1913. Listed are 352 paintings. The catalogue includes 52 photographs of paintings exhibited - including Seminarists by Lucien Simon, one of 26 of his works at this exhibition - as well as small drawings and photographs of a selection of the painters. There is a beautiful drawing of part of the exterior of the Institute, and colour plans of the first, second and third floors that show the exhibition rooms and halls.
