This book is a catalogue of the paintings exhibited at the thirteenth annual exhibition held at Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh in 1909. Listed are 296 paintings. The catalogue includes 38 photographs of paintings exhibited - including works by Hornel, Monet and T Austen Brown's 'In Largo Bay, Fife, Scotland' - as well as small drawings and photographs of a selection of the painters. There is a beautiful drawing of part of the exterior of the Institute, and colour plans of the first, second and third floors that show the exhibition rooms and halls.
