The 17th century witch craze in West Fife : a guide to the printed sources

Neale, Chris (Chris Paul)1980
Books, Manuscripts
A guide to printed sources of information relating to the witch hunts and executions of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries in West Fife. The publication aims to bring together some of the most interesting sources in a useful and entertaining way. It includes lists of names and dates of the trial and execution of witches from each area of West Fife. There is an extract from 'The Witch of Fife' by James Hogg after the title page. On the cover is a reproduction in triplicate of the 'The Witch of Endor' which appears to be from the 1805 print by A. Kay which is based on a detail from an original painting by the artist Adam Elsheimer (1578-1610)
