Newspaper clipping from the Dunfermline Press August 1 1969 and August 22 1969 concerning donated book to the library "Annals of Dunfermline" by Dr Ebenezer Henderson, and from Evenening News and Dispatch Apri l0 1964 concerning donated book of water colour sketches of old Dunfermline by Alan Westwood. The Annals of Dunfermline covers the period 1069 to 1878 and have been described as " the only complete and exhaustive chronological narrative of Dunfermline life from the earliest hisorical period. The volume in question belonged to Dunfermline born Dr T.D Whyte. Adam Westwood's water colour sketches was originally presented to Mr James McMaster on his retiral as Dunfermline postmaster in 1910 and contains sketches of "interesting old landmarks which have now disappeared, such as the Old Snuff Mill." Filed in blue magazine box 2.
