This report contains an analysis of The Register of Dysart Voters 1832-1855. The original register was carried out nearly a decade before the first useful census and contains details of the gentlemen eligible to vote under the terms of The Reform Act of 1832. The report looks at the occupations of the voters and the annual number who registered to vote. To accompany the report, the register has been transcribed onto a database to make it easier to use and is available to consult on CD-ROM. An insight is also given into the lives of the two Town Clerks, namely Andrew Galloway and Thomas Dow.
