Summary

In their first year of activities the trustees were invested in looking after Pittencrieff Park and the Glen as well as negotiating access for the public to the ruins of palace. The provision of scholarships and bursaries for those wishing to attend establishments of further education, including a set of bursaries for women and physical training for those utilising the newly erected Gymnasium and Baths were also among the scope of the trustees.
