1. Single-page letter from A D Noel Paton, dated 10 November 1963, to Provost Mackie, donating a 1628 property deed or Charter to Dunfermline. 2. Three-page translation of the property Charter, also donated by A D Noel Paton, dating to c1930. 3. Original double-sided Charter, dated July 1628. Normannd Blacader assigns to Patrick Couper his 'tenement of Templar land, with houses, edifices, gardens and end-piece... lying in the lower town of the said borough of Dunfermlyne'. The Charter gives particulars of where the land is situated, with reference to the lands and property of Henry Mudy, Andrew Murray, Andrew Law and Henry Durie. The document is signed by Blacader, Andrew Murray, Patrick Bethuall and notary William Broun.
