This report on single-sided typescript was written by David Hayes of Landmark [Forest Adventure Park], near Aviemore. The report looks at the need for better co-ordination and development to promote a greater understanding and appreciation of Dunfermline. Hayes reports insightfully on the strengths and weaknesses of the Museum at Viewfield Terrace, the Abbey/Palace/Monastery, Pittencrieff Park and Museum, Carnegie Birthplace and Memorial Hall, wall plaques and publications. His proposals include that for a larger, central, flexibly-designed museum, discounting the Red Tech and Abbot House in favour of the more central [old] Sheriff Court building, ie the Guildhall.
