The pronunciation of older Scots : Notes and tables to accompany the audio cassette

Aitken, A. J.
Audiobooks
Professor Aitken, former editor of DOST (A Dictionary of the Older Scottish Tongue), has here prepared and narrated a sound guide on how to pronounce Older Scots. The cassette is accompanied by a booklet of notes and tables outlining the history of the Scots vowels and diphthongs. The work was commissioned by the Robert Henryson Society, to further knowledge of medieval Dunfermline poet Robert Henryson, who wrote in Middle scots.
