This bound report by the Provost and Bailie of the Town Council of the Burgh of Dunfermline, follows their visit to Birmingham and Coventry to learn about sewage operations there. Provost Mathieson also visited Nuneaton for the same reason. Although most of the information relates to these places, there is mention of 'the proprietors along the Lyne Burn' objecting to sewage farming there. The report is reprinted from the Dunfermline Press. One copy (FCT31468) has the inscription 'Mr Robert Steedman, with Provost Mathieson's compts' [compliments] on the title page.
