In 1491, John Allan, presbyter of the diocese of St Andrews and notary public, recorded the Charters held by Dunfermline monastery, granted by King David, Robert the Bruce and John, Abbot of Dunfermline. This item is a translation of this work - and of Paisley's Charter - and it contains the names of the men present when the Dunfermline charters were shown.
